"this is a meta-joke"

Phew! Finally got that simple thing known as multi line input going.

Now, I can go and add it for comments. :D

So now this whole news thing, instead of being from a shitty text file with randomly-set formats for everything, is done via mySQL. So uh, it won't be too shitty in the future, if I decide to actually do anything useful with this website. Or indeed my life. ;)

My old layout was dependent on tables for its layout; nice and convenient, since Opera and Firefox will kindly obey the rules and make my website look like it should. Not IE, though. Oh no. No such thing as table heights. Which makes everything look pretty awful. So now I've decided to go with divs instead, which was slightly more of a nightmare (heights still aren't perfect, so you'd better make sure you have a decent size screen) but now looks very pretty in any browser.

See, look what I do for you, Microsoft! You bastards.

apparently my site was running in PHP 4, for some unknown reason. (I get to choose whether I want to use 4 or 5, apparently.)
So a lot of my sloppy coding (especially including get and post-data now doesn't work. If you see this...I've fixed it :O

...and welcome to my site. So far, I've haxed and played and tinkered and stolen code and I've just about got a news article system, complete with comments. None of it is regulated or particularly shiny or efficient, but it all does the trick. Unless, of course, it does not - in which case you probably won\'t see this.
